Coach Goodwin enters her third year as head cheerleading coach for the Coastal Alabama Sun Chiefs. Last season Coach Cassidy lead the team to a 2nd place finish in the UCA College Cheerleading National Competition. In a division with 19 other colleges, most of them being 4 year schools, the Sun Chiefs were able to secure a 2nd place finish overall for their Game Day performance.

Cassidy is originally from Gardendale, AL.  She cheered for Coastal Alabama Community College and the University of South Alabama. She also served on the staff of the Universal Cheerleaders Association for four years before returning to Coastal Alabama as assistant cheerleading coach under Celeste Robertson for two years before becoming head coach in 2020.
